I am an expert skier who would like to see more opportunities for skiing in Hungary. However, the Normafa forest is not an appropriate place for a development project of this scale. This the largest patch of relatively undisturbed forest within the Budapest city limits. Allowing development in a protected would also set a bad precedent for future development. I also doubt the viability of such a project given the poor winter climate of Budapest. For such a project to work it would require dozens of snow cannons, the pipe for the compressed water, compressors, and snow cats to groom the man-made snow, This type of infrastructure would drive the cost of a ticket well beyond the average Hungarian family's budget.
